Fetal Heartbeat: 140 aka "perfect" -- and no, that's not just me being a proud momma...the doctor said it was so! :)
Next visit: Next Wed (38 weeks) with Dr. Bauer
37 Week Update (21 days!)
Baby's size: Your baby weighs 6 1/3 pounds and measures a bit over 19 inches, head to heel. She is now the size of a watermelon! :)
Baby's development: Your baby is now considered "full term," even though your due date is three weeks away. If you go into labor now, his lungs will likely be mature enough to fully adjust to life outside the womb.
Many babies have a full head of hair at birth, with locks from 1/2 inch to 1 1/2 inches long. But don't be surprised if your baby's hair isn't the same color as yours. Dark-haired couples are sometimes thrown for a loop when their children come out as blonds or redheads, and fair-haired couples have been surprised by Elvis look-alikes. And then, of course, some babies sport only peach fuzz.
Best of the week: Bella Rose responding to Chris' voice. She also moved towards the light when Chris put a flashlight on my tummy (this was not comfortable..so we don't play that game anymore). Folding and storing the last bit of baby laundry. Sitting in the glider and thinking about being a mommy! Seeing pictures of other people's babies and getting super excited!
Worst of the week: Being sleepy and lethargic when I know that I have a lot to do! :) Having to change positions frequently just to "get comfortable".
Side Effects: Sleep is a foreign word. I am super tired around 5ish...then get a second wind around 8. I try to lay down for bed around 10 but I end up only getting around 4-5 hours of actual sleep due to tossing, turning, and bathroom runs. Also, one of my ribs is hurting continuously..I think someone is a fighter! :)
Cravings: Pizza!!
Anticipating: Installing the car seat and getting the suitcase in the trunk of the car! Taking some more maternity pics this weekend!
Here are this week's goals:
- Continue writing letters to Bella in my pregnancy journal -- I wrote several last week!
- Continue filling out my pregnancy album
- Read our new parent devotional
- Finish reading BabyWise
- Finish packing for the hospital
- Install car seat
- Thank you cards

Oh my gosh 21 days, isn't that so crazy Holly? I feel like we were just announcing that we were pregnant. It's uch a huge accomplishment to make it to 37 weeks, I can't wait till I've hit that milestone! Are you progressing any? So excited for you both, can't wait to meet Bella Rose!
Crazy, I know! :) I can't believe it. The nesting has come..but it is being battled with my intense desire to sleep! :)
You're almost there. Dr. Alarcon is precious!
I met you at Jillian's graduation party. I love the blog and am thrilled to see that it is almost time for the sweet baby girl. I pray for an easy delivery and a healthy and happy baby and Mommie.
